Mit dem Herzen sehen
„Man sieht nur mit dem Herzen gut. Das Wesentliche ist für die Augen unsichtbar…!“ Eine Zeit lang war dieses Wort bei vielen Hochzeiten zu hören. Der Ehemann, die Ehefrau sollte mit den Augen des Herzens, mit den Augen der Liebe angeschaut werden. Der Mensch ist eben mehr als das, was man von außen her sieht. Der Mensch ist mehr als seine äußeren Taten.
In diesem Wort, das der Fuchs zum kleinen Prinzen spricht, zeigt sich: Es gibt nicht nur ein äußeres Sehen. Es gibt ein anderes Sehen auch. Es gibt nicht nur eine Blindheit der organischen Augen. Diese Blindheit ist sicher sehr bitter. Ich stelle mir vor, dass Jesus tatsächlich Blinde geheilt hat. Welche eine Freude und Erleichterung müssen diese Menschen gespürt haben. Welche neue Lebensqualität diese Menschen bekommen.
Der junge Mann im Evangelium bekommt ein neues Leben geschenkt. Jesus hat ihn geheilt. Doch hat er ihn noch aus einer tieferen, eine anderen Blindheit befreit. Es ist die Blindheit unseres Herzens. Diese Blindheit kann nur dann geheilt werden, wenn wir in der Tat Jesus begegnen und nicht nur das: wir können von der Blindheit unseres Herzens nur dann geheilt werden, wenn wir uns auf IHN einlassen, wenn er uns mit seinen Wort und Zeichen ganz nahe kommen. Unser Leben kann schöner und reicher werden, wenn wir uns auf Jesus einlassen. „Gottes Handeln soll an ihn offenbar werden!“ so antwortet Jesus auf die Frage der Jünger, ob der junge Mann gesündigt hat oder ob seine Eltern gesündigt haben. Gottes Handeln kann auch an uns heute offenbar werden.
Im Grund genommen heilt doch Gott nicht die Augen. Er heilt noch viel mehr unsere Herzen. Nur mit dem Herzen sehen wir das, was hinter allem Äußeren zu sehen ist. Je mehr wir unser Herz Gott schenken und von seinen Worten und seiner Liebe zu uns heilen lassen, umso mehr lernen wir die Mitmenschen und Gott kennen.
Herzen heilen
Der Prophet Samuel ist für uns ein wichtiges Beispiel. Auch er sieht zuerst das äußere: das Aussehen und die stattliche Gestalt. Samuel schaut zuerst auf das, was die Menschen sehen. Gott hat einen anderen Blick. Eben diesen Blick muss Samuel noch erlernen. Gott sieht nicht auf das Äußere, was uns Menschen wichtig ist. Gottes Blick ist ein anderer.
Eben diesen Blick müssen auch wir noch lernen. Wir lernen diesen Blick je mehr unser Herz geheilt wird. Herzen müssen geheilt werden vom Egoismus. Dieser lässt einen Menschen nur noch den eigenen Vorteil sehen, nur noch an sich selber denken. Man sieht nicht mehr den Mitmenschen. Wie arm ist doch ein Blick eines Menschen, der nur noch sich sieht und den Mitmenschen nicht mehr als Bereicherung empfindet. Herzen müssen geheilt werden von Angst. Man sieht nur noch Gefahren und verliert völlig das Vertrauen auf Gott. Gott lenkt unser Leben. Herzen müssen geheilt werden von Eitelkeit. Ein Mensch hat keinen Blick mehr für die Schönheit der Welt und der Mitmenschen. Herzen müssen geheilt werden von Neid, von Hass, von der Lüge. Das alles lässt den Menschen nur auf sich selbst zurück fallen, nur noch sich selbst sehen.
Schon gar nicht hat der Mensch einen Blick für Gott, für Jesus Christus. Dieser Jesus holt uns mit seinen Worten aus dem Dunkel in das Licht des Lebens. Wo bleiben wir im Dunkel der Welt stecken. Dabei sind wir ja zu Licht geworden. Bei der Tauffeier betet der Priester: "Das Kind soll als Kind des Lichtes leben..." Das können wir nur dann, wenn uns eben Jesus für uns das Licht ist wie es Paulus an die Epheser schreibt. Ein Herz, das verwundet ist, das sich nicht in Gott festmacht, bleibt an den Werken der Finsternis stecken, an den Werken, die uns unfrei machen, an den Werken, die unser Leben zerstören.
Sich heilen lassen
Je mehr wir unsere Herzen heilen, um so mehr werden wir auch Jesus erkennen als den Herrn unseres Lebens. Wir haben im Evangelium gehört, wie sehr sich viele ihm verschließen. Er hat ja schließlich an einem Sabbat geheilt. Die zu starke Fixierung auf ein Gesetz, das Halten eines Gesetztes bloß um des Gesetzes willen. Jesus aber geht es immer um das Heil des Menschen, sein körperliches, mehr noch aber sein seelisches, sein geistliches Heil. Wer mit dem Herzen sieht, wer immer mehr mit den Augen Gottes sieht, der wird unverstanden. Ein Mensch kann ausgestoßen werden aus der Gemeinde. Es kann schwere persönliche Folgen haben, wenn ich mit dem Augen Gottes sehe. Nicht einmal die Eltern stellen sich hinter dem Sohn. Sie bleiben zu sehr im eigenen Glauben. Sie fürchten zu stark ausgegrenzt zu werden aus der Synagoge. Zwar sehen sie, dass ihr Sohn geheilt ist, doch wer Jesus ist, erkennen auch sie nicht. Es kann zu Spaltungen kommen wie wir es im Evangelium gehört haben.
Im Evangelium sehen wir viele Menschen, die Jesus nicht erkennen. Sie wollen es auch gar nicht. Zu sehr würde ihr Lebensgebäude zusammenbrechen. Zu sehr müssten sie ihr eigenes Leben ändern. Auch als religiöser Mensch kann ich dieser Gefahr unterliegen, Gott in meinem Leben außen vor zu lassen. Ich setze absolut, was ich für richtig und wichtig erkannt habe. Ich bin voll von mir selbst. Mein Herz und die Augen meines Herzen aber sind für Gott, für Jesus zu. Hier spüre ich, den Sinn der Fastenzeit. Sich ehrlich zu fragen, wo ist mein Herz krank, wo kann es die Liebe Gottes nicht erkenne, wo kann ich nicht erkennen, dass Gott mit der Welt andere Weg geht.
"Man sieht nur mit dem Herzen gut." Das sagt der Fuchs zum kleinen Prinzen. Wir sehen auch nur mit dem Herzen gut, wenn es in Gott verankert ist, wenn es geheilt ist. Lernen wir sehen, was Gott von uns will, lernen wir die Wege Gottes mit uns, die Liebe Gottes zu uns sehen, in dem wir Jesus begegnen.
